For DECADES, we have been bombarded with shit about TLK ripping off Kimba The White Lion. It is SO tiring and forced at this point, we just tend to ignore it. But the beautiful YouTube channel YMS actually did the thorough research behind this controversy, including watching all 3,000 minutes worth of Kimba properties, all the episodes and the movies (now THAT is dedication!), he concluded that the differences between the two vastly outweigh the unfair, bias 'similarities' between the two properties. He even pointed out that when most people point to screenshot similarities, they're actually pointing to a 1997 film about Kimba (Jungle Emperor Leo) that actually ripped off The Lion King (if you use the Kimbatards' logic) Turns out these fake weeaboos actually don't know what they're talking about, and very few have actually watched the entire Kimba series. YMS even found evidence that the studio behind Kimba and even Osamu Tezuka (the creator of Kimba)'s son don't buy into this bullshit, despite people lying saying that they do! A lot of these Kimba apologists create and believe straight-up lies about this. No more. He covered everything, it's been settled. I've even seen people who once believed in this; now saying they've changed their minds. Finally, it can be put to rest. Come across a Kimba-tard or even someone who is just innocently mistaken? Show them this video I put below.

This is a 2 and a half hour debunk video that goes into great depth with ALL the known arguments against The Lion King in relation to Kimba, and not one holds any water by the end of it. Very long video, but definitely worth a watch for any TLK fan who is sick of this controversy, or even any Kimba fan who has judged Lion King too harshly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5B1mIfQuo4

I've quite recently fallen down a rabbit hole of art theft on Instagram. You may see one or two stolen art pieces floating around here or there, but if you actually delve into it, go a little deeper - you'll find a BIG problem. Like...massive. How massive? :iconpouassondeoro: and I have been collaborating in listing all the repeating art thieves we can find, and the list is still getting bigger!

I've tried to talk to these people directly on Instagram, they will either yell at you, block you, act dumb, are actually dumb, don't speak English and don't bother translating, and/or just ghost you completely. A lot of them are young and get really defensive when pressed about crediting artworks. These accounts feed into each other, passing around our art like napkins. And WE'RE the assholes for expressing our distaste of our art being shared without permission or even credit. Some cooperate and credit, but most don't - hence why they're on the list. This needs to be nipped in the bud soon, before it gets even worse.

A group of us recently managed to get an entire account deleted, thanks to the group's efforts to report them for all the work stolen. Instagram is hopeless at swift action, but the results can and do culminate eventually.

I would advise my TLK artist friends to go check out the list, support :iconpouassondeoro: for her efforts and intention on emailing Instagram with full details on the extent of this problem. I mean FULL details, this will take her a lot of time. Every report we can do before then; is worth it.

For so long most of us have been stating that The Lion King was essentially just Hamlet with Lions, but turns out that isn't entirely true. The similarities between TLK and Hamlet was an after-thought, not the immediate inspiration.
If you have about 18 minutes to spare, I strongly recommend this video that explains it in great detail, the evidence is solid and very well researched. I'm a little confused considering the producers and whatnot would constantly refer to Hamlet as the source material, but...I dunno.

Unfortunately, he does use fan art without giving credit, which I'm not happy about. But that's my only gripe really.

It's a good video though, check it out:

I've had to close commissions due to recent events. For my Anxiety (that I've had for 3 years) and Depression (that I've had for God knows how long!) I've started taking Zoloft. I'm about 5 days in, and the side effects are kicking my ass. I have no idea how long the adjustment period is going to be, as it varies from person to person. So, until I start to improve, I can't do much art. I need to rest and monitor my condition.
I've offered a temporary refund to those still currently waiting on their commissions.
This also means my personal art is going to be on hiatus for a bit too. Again, I can't say for how long. It might be for a week or two, or possibly a few months.

Thanks for the understanding.

They finally dropped the official trailer for the live action Lion King! It's so great to hear James Earl Jones as Mufasa again! To those who are skeptical, that's understandable. But personally, I'd rather be optimistic and get mildly disappointed upon seeing it (it's still Lion King after all), rather than be pessimistic and miss out on something that could be amazing!
