Scar Killed Me..

This is basically just a joke 'what if' comic. I was going to put this into my 'Literal Lion King series' and ask the question as to why Mufasa couldn't just do this in the first movie straight after his death. But there are too many variables and possible explanations for that, like maybe Mufasa can only appear when Simba is around, feeding into the whole 'he lives in you' theme...i don't know.

But still, i want to talk about this. The first film treated Mufasa's ghost appearance as a one time thing, almost as if he made a deal with the Heavens to appear only once to get Simba's life back on track. Also it had the 'burning bush' from the story of Moses aspect to it. But then, the sequel kind of ruined that. Mufasa's ghost in the first movie was epic, grand and unexpected! In the sequel, he just kind of stands there like: 'hey, what's up?' It kind of sucks out the 'epicness' of it. And Nala seems perfectly fine with their dead king just staring at them from up there, was he always able to watch them like that? Kind of creepy.
And then Rafiki can apparently communicate with him in the tree, since when could he do that?? That wasn't in the original, if Rafiki could do that right at the start, you'd think Mufasa would give hints about the whole being murdered thing! I would.

Maybe i'm reading too much into it, or maybe it's a plot hole. Either way, it's something i think about whenever i see the movies, especially the sequel!
